Reservation Policy
There is daily MAID SERVICE DURING PRIME SEASON in the rooms and suites and at other times by request for a small fee.
TOWEL DISCOUNT: You may request a $5 per person deduction from your total bill for each two days of the stay in a room or suite if you supply your own towels and request this discount when the reservation is made or before it is paid in full.. COTTAGES are housekeeping units, so we provide bed linens but no towels. Towels may be rented if you do not bring your own. In the cottages, we provide the first soap and tissue and then you are on your own.
A cleaning fee of $75.00 to $150.00 will be charged only if the cottages are not left clean. COFFEE: We do not supply coffee for coffee makers, but may be purchased.
SMOKING: All buildings, porches, and patios are smoke free. Smoking is allowed on the grounds, away from buildings and people who are non smokers. PETS. There is wonderful walking in the park across the road. Only one queen room is available for up to 2 dogs. Pet restrictions apply. An extra fee is charged, and an extra deposit is required. Pets are not allowed in any buildings. TWO OR THREE NIGHT MINIMUMS may apply during holiday or festival weekends and some seasonal weekends. Stays in the guest house cottages require a 3 night minimum during primary season and mid season weekends .A fee may be accessed for policy non compliance and the reservation may be cancelled with no refund for violations that disturb other guests or could cause damage or excessive cleaning.
Deposit / Payment Policy
The reservation is guaranteed when we record valid credit card information and confirmed when the credit card or the check or money order deposit clears. Only one special applies during a single stay. Rates are subject to change, but not after the reservation has been guaranteed. There is a 5.5% lodging tax and a 5.5% sales tax everywhere in Door County. The deposit of 50%, not including taxes, will be credited to the last half of your stay if the reservation for a room is made 30 days or more before your arrival. The balance for the rooms is due upon arrival. The balance for the suites or guest house cottages is due 30 days before arrival. If there are fewer than 30 days before arrival when the reservation for any room, suite or cottage is made, the reservation must be paid in full. We accept Visa, MC, check, cash or money order. We must have a valid credit card on file if you are paying by check or with cash or money order. We will accept one credit card per reservation. Balances paid by other people in the same group may be paid in advance by check or on arrival in cash. A service fee will be charged for each additional card per reservataion because it requires cancelling and rewriting the reservation so the address matches the credit card information.
Cancellation Policy
A confirmed reservation means that we guarantee to hold the room for you and we promise not to rent it to anyone else. You guarantee to be financially responsible for the days confirmed. You pay for the rental guarantee, not just for the room. The cancellation fee for the rooms is $15 for each room or 15% with a minimum of $30 for each suite or cottage. Refund, minus the cancellation fee, of your stay will be made if WRITTEN NOTICE is received at least 30 days prior to the arrival date for rooms or 90 days prior to arrival date in suites or cottages. A one night stay is not refundable. Sometimes a unit must be cancelled with short notice, less than 30 days notice for rooms or 90 days for suites or cottages, including "no shows" and "last minute reservations" that were made with less than 30 days in advance. You will only be financially responsible for the period of time the unit is not re-rented for the same dates and at the same rate. When you must cancel a reservation of 2 or more days on short notice, a GIFT CREDIT for the amount not re-rented, minus the cancellation fee, may be requested and can apply toward A SINGLE STAY DURING THE QUIET SEASON. Reservations for a no show will be held until 8:00 am the day after your scheduled arrival. If a credit card is declined or invalid, the reservation may be cancelled with no notice.
Please note:
We will help you locate a child or pet sitter if needed during your stay in Door County. Please remember that policies are made for the safety, health, and comfort of all guests. Failure to follow them results in additional expenses and we may have to raise our rates. Therefore, to keep guests happy and our rates reasonable, failure to observe resort policy may result in cancellation of your reservation with no refund. PETS: If you rent the room in which pets are allowed, they may never be left alone in the room. If barking disturbs other guests, you will be required to leave with no refund of the balance of your reservation.
If another guest leaves due to your excessive noise, you will be responsible for the balance of their reservation unless it is re rented.
ROOM TOWELS are not allowed outside the room. INVENTORY is taken after each guest leaves and renters will be charged for missing items. Please remember to bring your own beach and pool towels. We do have pool towels that may be rented for a cleaning fee of $2 for each pool or beach towel checked out.
You may also rent an iron and iron board, coffee maker, or a hair dryer if not in a suite or cottage with a kitchen or kitchenette.
If you reserve three or more weeks in advance or provide an email to receive a copy of the confirmation, please check it carefully and contact us if you have any questions or if there is an error.
